I am hopeful that I can send a book home each month for each child in my class. These books will make a huge impact in their education at home. Many children don't have a big variety of books and it's my goal to provide that or do all I can to provide this for them. These students were hit with the biggest impact of covid because their first grade year which is the year they learn to read they spent half of the school year at home. A majority of my class is not proficient at reading on a third grade level and it is my goal to get almost every student at grade level reading.
