Hello. Thank you for helping me with my project. I am requesting cooking supplies for our cooking show unit we will be doing for our drama class. I teach drama at a Middle School in South Portland. We are offering a new course and I am looking for some highly engaging lessons that will help students practice and learn acting and public speaking skills. I came up with the idea to do this with food! I want to have students act out their own cooking show skits with real food. I am doubly excited for this unit as it will allow students to share foods from their cultural backgrounds. We have a very diverse student body. I think any opportunity to celebrate students identities, cultural or otherwise is a an important part of building community.
