I am teaching students that have missed a great deal of instruction due missing school because of COVID. In missing this instruction, the students’ education has subsequently taken a huge hit and is now impacting their progress. By using hands on lessons found on Teacher Pay Teacher I am able to make concrete connections that these students missed. I then move them to pictorial and on to abstract material in an accelerated manner in order to get them caught up to where they need to be. This, of course will not take place quickly. The student and I will be setting goals to reach throughout the year. As the goals are achieved rewards will be given. The students have given me ideas for the rewards they want to receive. With all this being stated, now you see the title for the project, Success Breeds Success! The more Success the students achieve the more they learn, the more success they see in their math class, the more internal success they will feel, the more rewards they earn from my class and the success just keeps growing.
