We have competed in B.E.S.T. Robotics competition here in the state of Alabama for seven years. Our students love competing and they spend several hours each week preparing for the competition after school and even on the weekends. We are a middle school, but the competition includes mostly high schools, but our students persevere. They have placed in the top teams several times and have moved on to the state level twice. Unfortunately, our Robotics room was broken into and most of our tools were taken and we need to be able to get new tools in order to build our robot and playing field. This project will help us get a new shop vac to clean up and filter out all of the saw dust that we create. It will also provide a skill saw, screwdrivers, and dremel so we can get all of the small, intricate cuts made. Our robotics team has learned so many skills such as how to work as a team, math, coding, carpentry, and architecture. These tools will help us continue the momentum that our program has. Thank you for your support and for helping us take this unfortunate event and show the kids that we can get through even this.
