The materials and supplies that I am requesting are to help build out and design a Makerspace for my students. These tools will form the backbone of a new class and opportunity for students to create and explore. The idea of a Makerspace is to provide students with collaborative, hands on learning opportunities, and these supplies will do just that. Students will get the opportunity to meet engineering standards in a fun process that will help them grow in their collaboration skills as well. The Legos will be used to set up centers and stations where students can freely use their imagination to design and solve problems. The other supplies allow students to approach engineering from a fun and creative way, by giving them the option to solve a problem in many different ways. The donations gathered will allow my students to fundamentally have a new and different experience at school. By purchasing these supplies, I will be able to provide them with opportunities that haven't been presented to them before. As a teacher implementing a new class, I truly need your support to make it the best possible!
