The last couple of years have been difficult for students in the K-12 space. They are accustomed to being with peers and having some sort of contact each day. Over the last year, they have been learning virtually and haven't had an opportunity to take a break and minimize stress. From watching television to accessing information on social media, students need a space where the world around them slows down and they are able to just breathe, relax, and refocus. I would like this space to be that place for my students. The plan to later create an additional reading library with chairs, a rug, cube organizer and Echo Dot that focuses on healing and help topics such as anxiety, fear and resilience. This space will also be used as a "one stop, college shop" where students are able to do virtual college tours and access materials.
