The classroom carpet is where students and the teacher gather together each day as a whole group. This is often the students' favorite part of the day, and is the heart of a classroom! This is where new concepts are introduced and practiced, new books are read and discussed, greetings, thoughts and ideas are exchanged, students socialize and make connections. We will use our classroom carpet daily for our whole group (Circle) learning time. Having a carpet will allow my students to come together at one common, cozy meeting place to learn, develop new skills and explore new concepts and things with their classmates. By donating to my project, you will not only help to foster our classroom community, but also to give my students the opportunity to learn, grow and explore together!
