The Butterfly Project is designated for our upper elementary students to go through a season of change, just as a caterpillar does. In this project students with meet with me, The School Counselor in various lessons to discuss topics such as diversity, social skills, and becoming true to who you are. I believe that this project will make a huge difference because students will be able to relate to a story "Save Me A Seat" and have open discussion about how they feel about the story. We will also have a process in which they will go through the process of change, just as a butterfly. Once each skill and topic is mastered, they will move on to the next. At the end students will graduate from the Butterfly Project with a ceremony.
