A majority of my students come from low income families. They live with other families and often move around a lot just so their family can save money. Chances to explore natural environments just aren't something they can afford to do. They are however curious, inquisitive little people. They are always full of questions and want to know more. Their world exists in a 10 mile radius of our school. The urban environment provides little opportunity to explore and feed their hunger for natural science.
