My 2nd Grade class is ethnically diverse with many different learners. Some are English learners, others have special needs that make learning more difficult, and many are Gifted and Talented. The one of the things they all have in common is a love of learning and it is my job to make it interesting. Our little school welcomes all students from the neighborhood as well as those bused in or driven from other areas. We work hard to ensure that their individual needs are met. Since we are a small school, we do not have much funding, so much of our needs are purchased by PTA and the teachers themselves. When I taught down in the heart of the city, there was plenty of funds. I quickly learned that the schools on the fringes of the city do not have near the resources. A color printer is a pretty basic need for any school computer lab and classroom and our school and classroom is sorely is lacking! Thank you Donors Choose for helping us!
