"Goal Getters" of CPD concentrates on creating an environment where scholars are able to push themselves past barriers set before them. If granted, the dream of this project is to make a range of "goals" for scholars to reach and then even exceed in reading. The superiority of the prizes will vary based upon how many words they are able to read during enrichment. Students have a reading goal set to read 12 million words school wide in order to increase student literacy, their love for reading and comprehension; this in turn will also help them to bridge the gap and show improvement during state testing. Each quarter students will be tested to measure growth in Accelerated Reader and celebrated for meeting/exceeding reading goals with educational prizes.
