My students will be choosing books to read in small book clubs. I want to provide them with diverse options so that they can find characters who represent them and the challenges they or their loved ones face. I especially want to make sure that boys are represented equally in the options, as well as multiple types of disabilities, living situations, and social challenges. Many of my students are reading below grade level this year, after being out of school for a very long time. Please help them fall in love with reading again by providing books that speak to them!
