Students will benefit from these headphones in multiple ways. The headphones without microphones will allow students to listen to directions and texts. This is especially important for students who may have trouble accessing grade level content. Hearing a text read aloud provides an access point for all. In addition to regular headphones, this project also includes headphones with microphones. These headphones with microphones will be used for our english learners who need ample opportunities speaking and practicing English aloud. They will be able to use these microphones to record their answers orally. Teachers are then able to share their work with the class or utilize the recording to recognize what other oral practice students might need. It is so hard to hear every student's language practice during a class period and the ability to record oral responses allows teachers to hear every student.
