Our art studio is not a traditional classroom. There isn't a "front of the room" where students sit in desks and face forward. Students need to be able to turn in their seats to look at works of art then turn back to their tables to have conversations about it or create their own art. Students need to be able to move their seats easily to collaborate in groups. Our art studio is a flexible space, and stools will make it easier for students to move around and do a variety of tasks. With social distancing and safety protocols in place, students can no longer gather on the carpet to view, discuss, and share artwork. They must sit at their tables and turn heavy chairs to face different directions for various tasks. Now, the need for stools is greater than ever.
