These materials will give me resources to pull from when I am building my lessons. Those lessons will teach history, undoubtedly, but I want my students to walk away with more than just knowledge. By building critical thinking skills, I am helping my students outside of my classroom. These skills can be applied to not just other educational settings, but also to their real lives. They will be learning to tell fact from opinion, what is a reliable resource to receive information, how to analyze, how to question, and so much more!
