The 10 x 10 Pop-Its will engage my students into understanding the concept of multiplication and division. Students will be able to learn math facts up to 10 by "popping" the correct amount of rows and how many in each row to figure out multiplication facts. I want students to be able to visual multiplication as groups/rows of repeated addition and these tools feel like an exciting way to teach and then allow for independent practice of math facts. We learn multiplication and division 0 through 10 all year long! These Pop-Its, if taught how to be used in the correct manner, allow for assistance with students who have sensory difficulties and it reduces anxiety as well. Students can understanding their multiplication and division facts in a calm, engaging way!
