Students at our elementary have the opportunity to earn books to own and take home through receiving tokens given to them for displaying kindness and showing our school's way of respect, responsibility and problem solving. The golden tokens give our students access to engaging books housed in our Book Vending Machine where students not only develop a love for literacy but feel emotionally supported as well. This book program is part of our PBIS school framework that supports the SEL needs of our students. In our Title school of over 1200 students, approximately 34 percent are from low income households. Replenishing our book supply is critical to the success of this program. These books help make students feel loved and supported!
