My students live in a middle-class suburban area in Florida. My classroom is very diverse as far as languages go. I have many students who are bilingual in English and Spanish, but I also have students who speak Chinese, Tamal (a dialect from India), and Arabic. My classroom is self-contained, meaning I teach the majority of my 22 students all subjects: Reading, Writing, Math, Science, History, Art and Teacher Directed Physical Education. They go to a Computers class one day a week, Music class two days a week, and Coach Directed Physical Education class two days a week for 30 minutes each. Some of my students have very high IQ's and they attend separate math and science classes daily.
