The materials requested will better help my students get engaged as though some have short attention spans and make therapy more interactive. There are many apps that can be used in speech therapy on an iPad. Apps such as articulation and language. Articulation apps can assist in helping my students articulate/produce their sounds correctly to make them more intelligible when they are speaking. Language apps can assist my students in various areas such as comprehension, they can listen to short stories and answer questions or even communication voice output to assist them in expressing wants/needs. Build sentences by filling in blanks with vocabulary or core words. Using adjectives to describe pictures and objects, pronouns, nouns, sequencing, etc. Paper and laminating sheets will be used to print and create activities/materials that can be used such as communication boards or games. These activities can help with their daily life such as step by step directions of how to wash hands, introducing daily school routines, going to the bathroom, matching colors, numbers, shapes, body parts, categorizing items. Activities like these can assist them in their classroom or at home on a daily basis.
