The magnetic letters I'm requesting for my kindergarten students will help them write words phonologically. It will enhance their awareness of sounds. Phonological awareness is imperative in learning to read and write. The magnetic letters in conjunction with the magnetic whiteboards will be used in centers, during intervention time, where students will have the opportunity to make a word and write it on the whiteboard. This activity will reenforce the letter/sound relationship. This experience will help encourage them to make up words freely through a fun, anxiety free environment. Help me give them the tools to be successful.
