These materials will give new families developmentally appropriate toys and books for them to use to build a healthy family attachment. Each family that comes to our community baby shower will receive these items as well as other community resources and information about how to develop a healthy attachment with their new baby. We work to promote the importance of parent-child interaction, knowing that birth to three years old is the period of the most rapid brain development over our lifespan. Babies grow quickly and need supportive, loving caregivers. At our baby shower we also talk about our Early Childhood Family Education services.
