These materials will be used in a resource room, with a small group and an Intervention Specialist to work on skills included, but not limited to their IEP. It can help with social, math and behavioral goals. Working in a resource room limits distractions, and the students (especially the ones with a hearing loss) can hear each other better and talk together, plan together and ultimately work together in as early as kindergarten, which is something that these kids have not had in a long time. Studies show that students can benefit psychologically from cooperative learning.
