My students are warming up to science with every new thing they learn about how it is connected to their everyday lives. As teenagers, they are very interested in skincare and this project can illuminate how a very simple product that they use every day is made by applying their knowledge from Chemistry class! Once the soap is made and ready for use, my students will take the soap home to share with their families and friends as accomplished soapmakers! When they show their homemade soap to the people they meet they'll help start the next generations of budding scientists.

About my class
