These books will be added to our existing classroom library. In order to become a more Culturally Responsive Teacher and provide my students with a more inclusive classroom environment, I need to expand our book options. Representation Matters! I want my students to love coming to school because they feel safe and cared for. Providing access to these books is an easy first step but admittedly the most expensive. I have also included books that I hope will help foster positive identities and relationships in and out of the classroom.
