It is so important for all students to feel seen and heard in their classrooms. I want to help my great first graders feel empowered this school year. By requesting multicultural crayons for all students to have access to, I am helping with the process. Can you imagine drawing your family, but then when it is time to color them, you are stuck? There are no crayons that are quite right for all of you. I don't want my students to ever feel this way. By supplying my classroom with this necessity, everyone knows they are important.

About my class
