R.A.R.E. My students have heard me say this since the first day of school. "Choose to be RARE today!" The acronym R.A.R.E. means respectful, active, responsible, and engaged. These are my four pillars to success in our gym. I compare being rare to diamonds and tell my students that diamonds are so expensive because they are rare. And who doesn't love diamonds? As a teacher I get the opportunity daily to plant seeds in our students that will eventually blossom into fruit! By introducing new activities, lessons, and sports to our children I will be able to continue to promote physical fitness, willingness to try new things, and team work! I want each student to step out of his or her comfort zone and be willing to take on new challenges and I also want to help them develop new skills. Pickleball and soccer would be a great way to implement more lessons and activities into P.E. here at Micro. Due to recess schedule, we usually are only able to do P.E. indoors in our gym and these pieces of equipment would work perfectly in our gym setting. P.E. should be fun, it should be engaging, and it should be an environment where students can expect to be introduced to new things and our students need that the most. This donation would be used for many, many years to come and would help add some depth and variety to our inventory closet at Micro. Thank you so much for considering our school, our students, and our seeds as they continue to grow into the fruits they were called to be!
