The instructional pieces such as the reading kits will be essential for productive station work time. There is a focus on student-led learning in my classroom, so it is important they have the tools and instructions to guide their learning with these kits. There is an emphasis on curiosity about the world in my class. The maps will help students become global citizens. In fifth grade, we focus on the 50 states as well, so it is important for them to have a map of our country. The decorative pieces in this list will be used to create a calm and relaxing learning environment. All pieces were intentionally chosen to create a positive learning atmosphere. All of these items may seem small, but together they will help create a positive learning experience for my students.
