As I teach math online to students, I try to give the the same experience that their "in-building" peers get. Glitching begins however when I am Zooming and attempt to record the lesson while showing a video or when I try to annotate on the screen. Teaching this way has exceeded the capabilities of my 3-year old district issued laptop. A desktop computer will provide processing speed that is adequate for giving the kids notes and working out math problems virtually. I want my students to have the same access to their math material as their peers do and for that to happen they need to be able to watch a lesson without fear of glitching.
