Children need to be able to identify and handle big feelings in order to be successful in the classroom. If the students have the strategies they need, teachers can be proactive while managing behaviors as they arise. As a social emotional teacher I use a read aloud to spark interest in the lesson, a hands-on activity to promote joyfulness in learning and a drawing/writing component to integrate literacy. By donating to my project, you will be giving my students access to much needed social emotional journals and books that will help them identify and explore their feelings and the feelings of their schoolmates.
