I plan to use these Chromebooks in class to ensure that my students will continue to receive high quality lessons infused with technology. Over the last year, I have had the opportunity to use many new digital tools that my students genuinely enjoyed. Coming back to school, it has been quite disappointing that we have had to revert to paper and pencil, since so many of my students now lack technology. With a class set of Chromebooks, I would be able to utilize engaging, technology-filled lessons on a daily basis. I teach AP Psychology, Psychology, and Sociology. We will use the Chromebooks to learn about the brain with interactive programs, research mental health and social issues, create video projects, use discussion boards to examine scholarly articles, and so much more! With each student having access to technology, we will be able to more closely replicate a college experience and position our students to be successful in the classroom now and after graduation.
