Children need a safe place that they can go in the classroom to calm down and work through big emotions. The cube will give a special space to go and "reset" or just get away and relax. The materials that we are requesting are easy to maintain and can handle the additional cleaning and frequent disinfecting due to COVID-19. With the children returning to the classroom this year, we are expecting an increase in social/emotional needs. It is my goal to make my classroom a calm and welcoming environment that children can feel safe and engage in learning activities throughout the day.
