Flexible seating options in the classroom allow students to choose a spot and style that creates a space for creative learning. Differentiating instruction is a given in the classroom but students also benefit from choice in independent work time. Currently, students sit at their desk or at one of the two tables for flexible seating. The ground is not carpeted and is not a comfortable choice for students who want to work elsewhere. Students get to learn their own way and pick a spot they will be successful in. They can get their wiggles out without distracting others while remaining engaged in their work. They love to try out new spots and see what works best for them!
