So often history fails to engage students because they cannot picture what is being taught. By provided students with color images of history that correspond to lessons I can visually engage my students and help further their understanding of our content. A color printer will allow me to distribute clearer images for students to dissect and analyze, which will further students' ability to discuss and contextualize history. The use of historical images, archeologic photos, and maps take history beyond a boring lecture and turn it into an interactive class! A color printer will also allow me to print out and display digital student work (posters, brochures, charts, etc.) in my classroom, which positively reinforces student achievement in our class.
