My co-teacher and I wanted to update our classroom library with more diverse authors and experiences in order to reflect, respect, and celebrate the lives of our students, most of which are black and/or Latino. With your help, we will be able to create a more diverse collection for our students to read in order to help grow voracious readers by offering more relatable experiences. We are also hoping to include more graphic novels as well as Spanish-language books in order to further meet the varying needs of our students.
