My students are so curious about the world around them. They long for the same experiences that other students have. They learn by doing, and they cannot participate in computer simulations that they cannot observe. With these materials, they will be able to explore the concepts we discuss in class, relating them to their studies and understanding of the periodic table. The lab experience will allow them to practice skills such as weighing, measuring, and using assistive technology to make observations. The process of experimentation gives them a chance to apply the scientific method and problem solving skills. My objective with this project is to help students master the concepts in chemistry.
