The materials that I am requesting are for my students to enjoy in the classroom. All of the items are hands-on activities to get my students excited about their learning! Our writing curriculum has changed to focusing on formation of letters. The Wipe & Write Alphabet Practice Cards is a perfect way to keep my students practicing their writing during centers. Phonemic Awareness and Phonics are other huge focuses for our little learners, which is why I chose the rhyming bingo game and other word building activities for the kiddos. I have a passion for math, which I think translates to all of my students. Not only do I want my students to love math, but I want them to see how math can be fun, too! I chose the counting cones because who doesn't love building an ice cream cone with 10 scoops? I also am requesting the Nuts About Counting activity, not only because it helps students practice their counting precisely, but also adds the tactile piece of screwing a nut onto a bolt to make sure they can fit all of the nuts onto the bolt. Lastly, I am requesting a calming cuddle ball for my calm down corner. This will help students who like added pressure to their bodies if they need to calm down or relax for a few minutes. I can think of plenty of my previous students who would have greatly benefitted from this in years past.
