In order to provide a better learning environment for students, a rug is needed to help with alternative seating and learning outside of average school desks. Students will use the rug to learn in small groups, reading intervention, and as a use for alternative seating. Students will be assigned a letter to sit on during carpet/rug time learning. This will also help ensure that students sit at least three feet apart. The use of a rug will help allow for movement breaks and give students a chance to sit elsewhere beyond their assigned desk seats.
