The items I are requesting will enhance social, physical. mental, emotional growth and academic success for our at-risk students. To promote social, emotional health and student engagement, these materials will be utilized in their everyday lives. The lessons I teach, whether educational or through yoga practice, center around being kind, being aware, overcoming challenges, and being a better version of themselves. I am a registered yoga teacher and a coach. Providing yoga mats for my students and athletes will allow them to practice yoga.The stress levels during these years of COVID are through the roof, and kids need to learn skills for coping and staying healthy in body, mind, and spirit. Yoga provides a calm mind in a healthy and strong body, which will help my students flourish. This is social emotional learning at its best, and critically needed. Educational technology like an Apple TV can enhance student learning by providing access to a variety of different resources. Students do not learn the same way and the move towards a universal design for learning can be supported by technology like an Apple TV and Apple pencil During these difficult times, social emotional learning is a crucial piece of my students' success. Your donation will help me continue to teach these important life skills. Thank you for considering my project. It means the world to both me and my students.
