My students want to learn in school with their peers. Space in my room with traditional 2-person desks is strained when we try to keep a safe distance or move about the room. The use of masks is important for safety, but it does make it difficult for students to be understood. Because of these issues I want to improve our learning environment while protecting the health of kids in school. The desks and sneeze guards will make for a safer classroom environment. They will provide safe distances between kids and improve traffic flow when moving in the room. The sneeze guards will give kids a 2nd line of defense. With smaller desks in the room, safer pathways to move around will enhance our learning environment .
