My students will be participating in SEL (Social Emotional Learning) daily. I believe that SEL will play a key role in my students being a productive member of our school community. SEL topics/skills are needed to be introduced, practiced and used throughout life. Social Emotional Learning will be a key component in my kindergarten class this year. I will be conducting daily Morning Meetings. Each month we focus on topics such as: respect, citizenship, empathy, kindness and honesty. Kindergarten students enjoy using art to express their understanding of topics, feelings and concerns. Students will create different projects using the supplies of this project. After a completed project, students will be encourage to explain their art piece to their classmates. Classmates will also have time to comment on their classmates' projects/comments/explanations. It is important for children to see other students' point of view on a topic. Please help me help my students. These children are our future!
