When I was in elementary school I had access to an extraordinary classroom library and this library helped me grow my passion for literacy. I want that for my students. By giving these students access to amazing reading materials they can grow their own passion for reading. Every day the students have DEAR time (Drop Everything and Read), where they stop what they are doing and read, just read. By having a variety of books in the classroom library students will feel more confident in finding a book to read, from a graphic novel to a chapter book. By helping my grow my classroom library students will have the opportunity to read, just read.
