My students are eager English language learners who come from a rural farming area. They are a lively bunch with many stories to tell. More than telling stories, they love listening and learning from books. The highlight of the week for us is their trip to the library. I enjoy our weekly library visit because it gives me a chance to discover the hobbies, and interests of my students. It is wonderful to get to see the excitement on their faces when they find a book that relates to a concept we are learning in class. My students truly are discovering the world and about themselves through books and I can't wait to hear the stories that come along with that.
