My classroom currently has a Smartboard. However, there is no whiteboard near the front of the room. This allows for little space for students to write out their practice problems on a bigger space. Math needs space! Students see math in different ways. I also plan on moving the whiteboard around the room, so students can stand and write out a problem instead of sitting at a small desk. Having this whiteboard also ensures that if technology fails, like we all know it can, my students and I will have a backup writing space.
