Movement stimulates the brain! My students need a way to wiggle and wobble without distraction in the classroom. The Hokki stools and Gaiam seats are a perfect way to allow students to fidget as needed. These will be used during our carpet time lessons, as well as during their independent work time so that they can focus and be as creative as they need to be. Anyone who has worked in an office all day knows how harsh fluorescent lighting can be. These lights can cause headaches and can also produce a loud buzzing noise that can be distracting to many students, especially some who might be on the autism spectrum. Filters and soft-lighted lamps are a great way to reduce the stress of overhead fluorescent lighting in the classroom so that students can focus and do their best.
