Children need to move. Flexible seating allows them to wobble and rock which is much needed during the school day. It helps students focus and stays alert during instruction. Flexible seating helps to facilitate an engaging classroom environment. In addition, studies show that students in classrooms with softer lighting are calmer and able to focus more in class. The reduced flicker and softer lighting are especially beneficial to students with special needs, such as autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders. These flexible seating and lighting options will enhance students' learning and provide an inclusive classroom environment where all can learn.
