I am requesting variety of picture books and early reader chapter book series of multiple genres. These books will help spark a love of reading. These books will dramatically add to the growing classroom library we have in our second grade classroom, between independent reading by students and read aloud books by me! They will give the students in my classroom a great selection of different genres of books, as well as a range of reading levels to choose from, to help increase their interest in reading! There are series of books that will, once hooked, provide more story for the students to engage with. Given increased options for material to read and engage with in a variety of ways, my student's will have a greater opportunity for reading growth this year!
