If I were to have an iPad I would be able to be mobile to control the smartboard instead of stationary at the front of the room. This would allow more flexibility and student engagement in the lesson. I would be able to be with a group and help focus their attention instead of being tied to the front of the room. As a teacher of 21 years it is more effective to have close proximity to the students. In addition, I use raffle tickets to engage the students when answering questions to help promote class participation. It would be more efficient if I had an iPad to help with mobility of passing out the tickets.

About my class
