Research shows that reading provides students a path to academic success, and I know that stories give the opportunity to expand students' world views. In light of the recent pandemic, fewer students are reading and more are spending time on electronic devices. I want to change this by putting good books into my students' hands by building a strong classroom library full of current titles. This year I have more students who will need additional help to become successful, and this library can make a huge difference in developing better readers.
