This year upon entering my classroom, I found that there were NO books for my kids to read. I want to build a classroom library in which students can find themselves throughout the pages they read and that reflects their wonderful differences that we celebrate each day. I will be able to cultivate their learning and build a stronger foundation for my classroom using the books that I am provided. As this is my first year teaching first grade and I am at a new school, it is difficult to provide my students with everything they deserve with the budget I am given. I would like to provide them with unique opportunities that involve literacy, math, science, social studies, art, diversity, STEM projects, and anything else I can. I appreciate any opportunity to do so and will do whatever it takes to give my students what they deserve.
