These Ka'ohao 6th graders have participated in numerous environmental school improvement projects. This personalized journal and watercolor set will inspire students to learn and participate in the Hawaiian practice of Kilo. Through the expression of watercolor and journaling, students will observe their school community, illustrate campus areas, and write about their own sense of place in their school community where nature's beauty and function support sustainable school practices. These materials will enhance experiences that will guide students as they are given the opportunity to advocate for future projects that will continue to shape the beauty and function of their community.

About my class
